Alex Sparrow and the Furry Fury

What is The Storm? Who is The Rattler? Why are foxes howling, squirrels attacking and animals disappearing? Could this be a new mission for Alex and Jess?

After the fast-paced, slapstick and very articulate delights of Alex Sparrow and the Really Big Stink, Bookwagon is over the moon to welcome the return of our superpowered duo. While Alex is enabled with a pong assisted lying device, Jess can communicate with animals. This means she can pick up a few clues about what is disturbing the animals in their town, and also at the animal sanctuary, where she and Alex help out.

Alex smells that Rex, son of the sanctuary supervisor, is lying, but why? Why is Miss Fortress, A.K.A The Professor, so absent from the pair’s heroic quest? Will Bob and Elle find true love in a shared goldfish bowl?

Bookwagon urges readers who enjoy witty humour, flawed characters and highly imaginative storylines to pick up a copy of ‘Alex Sparrow and the Furry Fury’, but only after they’ve read the first title of this really satisfying series!

Alex Sparrow and the Furry Fury’ is a headline our title character would love! He’s back, champing for another mission from Miss Fortress A.K.A The Professor. It seems a little quiet, while Jess has become a vegan. However there is a Storm brewing. Foxes’ night howling is disturbing the town and there are peculiar power shortages.
When Alex and Jess help out at a local animal sanctuary they become aware of turmoil within the animal community. Jess’s animal communication superpower unearths some clues. The Rattler removes animals randomly from the sanctuary in the dead of night, never to be seen again.
Alex’s smell assisted lying superpower alerts him to the fact that Rex, their new friend at the shelter, is lying about The Rattler. It would appear that the animals’ distress about this predator extends well outside the sanctuary walls. The Storm is here!
The dialogue is crisp, laser fluent, beat heavy.  The relationships from Bob and Elle to Alex and Jess, are engrossing and very funny. Alex Sparrow and the Really Big Stink is a Bookwagon tour-de-force. Welcome ‘Alex Sparrow and the Furry Fury’.
