Aziza’s Secret Fairy Door and the Birthday Present Disaster

Lola Morayo, with illustrations by Cory Reid

(Pan Macmillan)

Aziza’s Secret Fairy Door and the Birthday Present Disaster offers a third visit to the magic land for our heroine. It seems that Aziza is hopeful of a third adventure within her magic land. Therefore, when she sees that her bedroom is festooned with ribbon, alongside a messy bow, she is curious. What might be in store for her?
Thereafter, she ventures forth to find herself in the Palace. It seems she is just in time to join Tiko’s preparations for Princess Peri’s birthday party. What’s more, these are exacting preparations, for Tiko wants the event to be remarkable and problem free. However, despite the food, friends and party games, there’s a problem. Somehow, special gifts have disappeared. It means that Tiko needs Aziza to follow the clues as to what’s happened. Could it be the pesky suspects whom we’ve met in Aziza’s Secret Fairy Door. Or might there be something else going on? Is it possible that Aziza can avert a Birthday Present Disaster?
Lola Morayo, from Storymix offers such a readable, magical creation with this story and its two predecessors. Once again we’re knee deep in a special adventure world, full of wonder, mischief and possibilities. Bookwagon recommends this title, its series, to newer, less confident readers, especially.
