Charlie & Mouse & Grumpy

There was a knock at the door. It was Grumpy! Grumpy!‘ With delight, Charlie & Mouse enjoy a visit by their (un-grumpy) grandfather. Four short chapters, with accessible text within a really winning story of family relationships invite newer readers’ participation. This is lots of fun, with real feelings and strong bonds.

Laurel Snyder is pitch perfect in her text, while Emily Hughes’ tender familial pictures enhance the love between ‘Charlie & Mouse & Grumpy‘. Though the book is American, the story is key and dismisses this as a mere anomaly.

We love ‘Charlie & Mouse & Grumpy‘, a worthwhile successor to its award-winning prequel, Charlie & Mouse

Welcome back Charlie & Mouse! This time, it’s Charlie & Mouse & Grumpy. The brothers are excited by a visit from Grumpy, their very tolerant grandfather. They love his nose snoring. Furthermore, he doesn’t know the same songs as they do. What shall they do together? Laurel Snyder and Emily Hughes show and tell their adventures that include a sleepover and hotdogs.
Charlie & Mouse & Grumpy is a joyous early chapter book. It invites newer readers to explore family and feelings with fun and wonder.
