Death in the Spotlight

A Murder Most Unladylike Mystery (7)

Robin Stevens

Death in the Spotlight sees the return of the ever-popular Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong once more.  After their return from their Hong Kong adventure in A Spoonful of Murder, this time they need to solve a murder in the world of the theatre.
The girls are off to the Rue Theatre in London where Daisy’s Uncle has sent them to keep out of trouble. However, the Detective Society is never far away from trouble and danger, and the actors and crew are of course behaving very suspiciously at the Rue. Jealousies abound, as do threats and horrible pranks.  Matters quickly spiral out of control – and then a body is found. Can the ladies follow the clues to find the killer?  Hazel and Daisy have to take centre stage to solve the crime . . .Time is running out and the murderer looks set to strike again.  As always, the plotting is excellent and the relationship between Daisy and Hazel is perfectly realised.  They come from quite different backgrounds, but they nevertheless work so well together.
Robin Stevens’ hugely popular series continues to in fine form. Fans will love it, and so will readers new to the action.  Bookwagon is pleased to stock the entire series, starting with Murder Most Unladylike.
