If all the world were…

‘If all the world were….‘ possible, the child would have her grandfather restored to her.

In spring, they explore, hand in hand. In summer, they zoom cars up and down a race-track they mend together. In autumn, the grandfather gives his granddaughter a handmade notebook and urges her to ‘write and draw all your dreams’. In winter her grandfather tells her stories of when he was a boy, of ships, Indian sweets, snakes and tigers.’

Then there is silence, and ‘all the world’ is memories. The girl writes and draws and remembers, holding her grandfather’s hand close to her heart.

‘If all the world were….’ is a story of love, tenderness, bonding and loss. Joseph Coelho and Alison Colpoys have created a word and picture balance perfect ‘forever’ book.
