I’m Just No Good at Rhyming is a whirlwind of wordy wonder that is bound to capture reader’s interest.  What’s more every device is practised and included here! Thereafter, we enjoy examples of rhyme, repetition, and alliteration. However there’s more! What about anarchy and moral considerations before meaningful thoughts? It means that we’re completely engrossed as we journey through poetry and life, thanks to Chris Harris’s insightful, creative meanderings. Then again, we’ve the work of award winning illustrator Lane Smith to enjoy too.

Bookwagon suggests that I’m Just No Good at Rhyming is a poetry festival of a book. We love it! It is a one of a kind title, recommended to readers to enjoy alone, or together, at any age! i

I’m Just No Good At Rhyming

And Other Nonsense For Mischievous Kids And Immature Grown-ups

Written by Chris Harris (without William Shakespeare), illustrated by Lane Smith

(Two Hoots)

I’m Just No Good at Rhyming and Other Nonsense for Mischievous Kids and Immature Grown-Ups is an outstanding poetry book. In fact, Bookwagon would go so far as to suggest it is destined to become a classic. Chris Harris has created a superb collection of that includes every type of poem. Thereafter we enjoy rhyming narrative, nonsense, illustrative and shape poems. Then again, we’ve poems to be recited or shared. It seems that each work is meaningful and considered. This means that you can sense the sweat on the poet’s brow and realise his determination that every word should matter.
What’s more, award-winning illustrator Lane Smith has the measure of the poet. Thereafter, his sepia toned comic shapes endorse the words brilliantly. They seem to add weight to the meaning, fun, form and intelligence.
Bookwagon loves the serial poems that pepper the book alongside its comparisons. It seems that nothing is ever left undone, so that at times, it’s like reading an internal conversation.
I’m Just No Good at Rhyming is a magnificent poetry book that any child who loves words will enjoy. What’s more, it offers the opportunity to build a commitment to and application of language, rather like  Things That Should Be in a Poem
