Roy of the Rovers: Scouted

The once-proud Melchester Rovers  languish at the foot of League Two.  They are out of money and out of luck.

Sixteen-year-old Roy Race has always dreamed of playing striker for Rovers.  He has bags of natural talent, skill and a hammer of a left foot. Could he be the answer to Melchester’s prayers? First, however, Roy has to get noticed by scouts and his family commitments make it hard for him to play in the upcoming big match.

Will the pressure of problems on and off the pitch prove too much for the young prospect?

‘Roy of the Rovers’  is a timely and exciting re-boot of the much-loved and epic footballing saga by the very capable Tom Palmer.
