The Big Book of Train Activities

Laura Baker and Sophie Foster

(Lonely Planet Kids)

The Big Book of Train Activities is the perfect solution for those long train journeys, especially when the train is delayed.  When the comic or the book has been read and you’ve finished your sandwich lunch, there might still be plenty of time to fill.  This great activity book contains over 80 games and puzzles that can be tackled by the whole family.  The family can be challenged by word-search puzzles and mazes.  There are also spot-the-difference pictures, crosswords and connect the dot tasks.  Furthermore, there are loads of facts and information about trains and train travels.  For instance, do you know what the fastest train in the world is, or how trains were invented?  What is the longest railroad in the world?  These and many others can be answered by solving the games and puzzles.
When you have completed all the tasks, why not then look out of the train window?  You will find that you have arrived at your destination!  Remember to bring your pens and pencils!
Bookwagon is pleased to stock several activity books, from How To Make a Picture Book and Ada Twist’s Big Project Book for Stellar Scientists.
