The Case of the Haunted Wardrobe

£7.99

Who’s sending the threatening notes? Fayson doesn’t show anyone, but is disturbed by the message. After all, only Mama and best friend Gaby know the truth about Lizzy.

However, Fayson’s overjoyed to be returned to the Island, where she solved The Case of the Lighthouse Intruder. It seems that although she’s petitioning to readmit Tia, the other members of the Di Island Crew are not keen. Yet wouldn’t Tia’s readmission make it more likely that Mama would want to join Fayson on the island?

Then again, the group have their first case when Mrs Hammond invites them to investigate a peculiar knocking from deep within a wardrobe. Could it be the ghost of her late husband? Although the crew are scared, Fayson is determined to unearth the truth!

Bookwagon is delighted to welcome The Case of the Haunted Wardrobe aboard. What a superb addition to a series we love!

The Case of the Haunted Wardrobe

Kereen Getten

(Pushkin Children’s)

Fayson’s been desperate to return to the Island since solving The Case of the Lighthouse Intruder. It’s not only seeing new best friend Gaby again, but the chance for the group of friends to put their detective skills to use. However, Fayson’s aware that Mama will be left alone in the town. Therefore she determines to try to make amends with Tia, although the other members of the ‘Di Island Crew’ are not keen. Could it be that if Fayson can encourage the group to readmit Tia, Mama might consider visiting the Island?
Then again cases on the island seem thin on the ground, until Mrs Hammond responds. It seems she has a Haunted Wardrobe. While Aaron, Omar and Ace are convinced it’s the ghost of Mrs Hammond’s late husband, Fayson has other suspicions. Then again, it seems all of the group have problems of their own. It seems as though they’re receiving threatening notes. Who could it be? Might Tia be up to her old tricks?
Bookwagon loves this series from Kereen Getten. It seems as though we take our shoes off, just like Aunty Desiree expects, while we can feel the Jamaican warmth and learn about the neighbourhood alongside Fayson. Thereafter, we recommend The Case of the Haunted Wardrobe highly to our readers.
