The Princess Bride

Inconceivable!’ It’s more than 25 years since the film of this wonderful book was created. Unlike the majority of films from novels, it was pitch perfect. So the novel? Well it’s quite wonderful, the voices of the film ‘speak’ as the book, the characters are splendidly realised, the plot haphazard and humorous. It is a rollicking good read.

My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!’

The Princess Bride

William Goldman

Exciting, unexpected and riotously funny, the novel of the film is as good and almost word- for- word; ‘My name is Mrs Bookwagon and this story tickled me pink, prepare to enjoy! Recommended for readers aged from 11 years (who are less conceited than Princess Buttercup!)
